NexGen Expands Network with Stamford Point of Presence

NexGen Networks, a leading global provider of ultra high-speed fiber-optic services with a distinctive customer service approach, has announced the completion of a new Point of Presence (POP) in Stamford, Connecticut. The expansion will provide enhanced opportunities for global connectivity for enterprises in Stamford, while also serving to other metropolitan markets in Connecticut.

“Stamford has the largest financial district in the New York Metropolitan Area outside of New York City, so it’s very important for us to establish a strong presence there as part of our larger commitment to tailored, reliable, high-speed network services for enterprises in important business hubs in the US and throughout the world,” said Edward Lawson, SVP of Business Development at NexGen Networks. “The new Stamford POP will allow us to provide services that range from low-bandwidth internet access to high capacity, high availability connectivity for MPLS deployments.”

Stamford is one of the Northeastern US’ most important commercial centers, and NexGen’s establishment of services in Stamford puts it at the doorstep of four Fortune 500 Companies, nine Fortune 1000 Companies, and 13 Courant 100 Companies that call the city home. NexGen’s new POP also complements its recent expansion into the Cyrus One data center in Norwalk, thus bolstering its strong presence in Connecticut and helping it to serve other markets in the state and the larger region.
