The partnership will provide NexGen customers with direct private network connectivity to Microsoft Online Services via Microsoft ExpressRoute Meet-Me Locations, in lieu of having their traffic routed over the public Internet. This will be known as NexGen Networks Direct Connect for Microsoft Azure Expressroute.

By allowing customers to separate their internal applications from the public internet, ExpressRoute provides a higher standard of security and ensures a more consistent user experience through a powerful private connection. NexGen Networks clients who take advantage of the service can thus extend their most critical internal applications around the global NexGen Network at the maximum speed, security, and availability.
