NexGen Networks Clients Implement Hybrid WAN Designs for Modern Versatile Network Solutions

New York, NY – September 19, 2016  - NexGen Networks, a leading global provider of ultra high-speed fiber-optic services with a distinctive customer service approach, has in recent years seen a tremendous growth in demand for cloud and internet connectivity to supplement private network connections.

With the growing speed and stability of modern internet and cloud services, it is now viable for customers to distribute non-critical traffic to broadband lines. Known as Hybrid WAN design, this implementation of internet service or NexGen’s Cloud Direct Connect to complement or supplement services like Metro Ethernet or MPLS WAN service has enabled customers to create robust and versatile architectures to connect enterprise locations to a datacenter or end user.

“NexGen prides itself on the versatility and of its services and its responsiveness to customer needs,” says Edward Lawson, NexGen Networks SVP of Business Development. “We are supportive of Hybrid WAN technology because it can lighten the load on a traditional MLPS or ethernet line by transmitting non-mission critical traffic over the internet, creating an attractive, economical solution for many clients.”

While private, guaranteed connections remain crucial for much of a businesses traffic and applications, it often makes sense to leverage internet or cloud connectivity to carry a designated subset of an enterprise’s traffic, rather than leave the latter connections unoptimized as simple standby lines. Customers have several options when working with NexGen Networks to create a Hybrid WAN design. NexGen Networks Hybrid WAN Services include single or multiple access facilities to the NexGen Core. This access is used to provide multiple services to the enterprise location, providing customers with multiple high-speed paths to data centers or end users.
