NexGen Networks Expands South American Network Services into Brazil

NexGen Networks, a leading global provider of ultra high-speed fiber-optic services with a distinctive customer service approach, today announced that it will expand its South American network services into Sao Paulo—the commercial center of Brazil, and one of the largest in the world. NexGen’s new point of presence continues a series of expansions in the region that have extended its global network and offered secure, reliable backbone connectivity for customers operating in Latin America.

“Sao Paulo is a major world commercial and trading center that has grown tremendously in importance over the years.” says Edward Lawson, SVP Business Development of NexGen Networks. “Its economic dynamism and strong digital infrastructure will allow us to meet the needs of clients with presence in the region while maintaining our exacting service standards.”

Sao Paulo is home to Latin America’s largest stock exchange, as well as one of the world’s top 20 exchanges. As Brazil’s central point of internet traffic exchange, the city is of critical importance to Brazil’s online population of around 100 million people (one of the largest behind China, India, the US, and Japan).

The new presence in Sao Paulo comes on the heels of NexGen Networks recent expansion to Verizon’s NAP of the America’s facility in Miami (through which the vast majority of Latin American internet traffic flows). This series of expansions will allow NexGen to offer an impressive range of services in Latin America.
