NexGen Networks Launches New Subsea Fiber Route Between Asia And Europe

Providing complete network diversity to support global organizations

NexGen Networks, a Global Digital Infrastructure company and the premier provider of fiber optic-based network solutions to the world’s top financial services firms and global enterprises has announced the deployment of AAE-11 cable system – a diverse and low latency subsea cable route directly connecting The Asia-Africa-Europe 1 (AAE-1) cable is a 25,000 km submarine telecommunications cable system that connects Asia, the Middle East, East Africa, and Europe. It was launched in 2017 and is one of the largest submarine cable systems in the world.  This cable has been designed to provide high-speed connectivity and increased capacity to support the growing demand for data and internet services in the regions it serves. It has a capacity of 40 terabits per second (Tbps) and uses the latest 100 Gbps transmission technology. This connection represents a substantial differentiator in capabilities and continued effort to strategically expand and improve NexGen’s infrastructure.

The AAE-1 cable system has 21 landing points across Asia, the Middle East, East Africa, and Europe, including Singapore, Malaysia, India, Pakistan, Egypt, Italy and France – providing customers with greater flexibility and redundancy. This ensures that customers' network connectivity remains up and running, even in the event of an outage or disruption.  The capacity NexGen Networks will be offering on this route can be scaled to meet increased customer demands for years to come.

“This investment will support the steep rise in global demand for bandwidth and capacity in data use and transfer across multiple sectors, primarily driven by a shift towards cloud enabled services and capabilities,” says Jeffrey Barth, President of NexGen Networks.  “The capacity NexGen Networks will be offering on this route can be scaled to meet increased customer demands for years to come.”
